Capitol Coatings provides timely, commercial painting and wall-covering services to customers in the Washington, DC, Metro area.  Capitol Coatings was established with the motivation to satisfy customer needs by providing efficient, reliable, high quality, and professional services, while simultaneously focusing on the satisfaction of its employees.  The Company’s experienced founders ensure each project is customized and given timely service to fit the desires and needs of their clients.

Leadership

Jim Janke - President

Mr. James Janke has been in the painting industry successfully working with commercial clients for over 20 years. He has worked for 4 of the industry’s competitors as an estimator and project manager. During this time he implemented technology, efficient cost and profitability tracking, and the need to fully service the client. Mr. Janke honorably served in the United States Marine Corps where he learned and retained a wide variety of strengths. Mr. Janke also co‐owned and successfully ran a 35 million dollar per year produce Distribution and Brokerage Company until his main client was bought out and the new owners decided to eliminate outsourcing. He previously worked for several competitors as Senior Estimator/Project Manager and was responsible for accurate estimating, project management, monthly billing, scheduling, and project profitability. Mr. Janke observed inadequate operations and customer service while working for previous painting companies, which sparked his motivation to create and run a successful business into the unforeseen future.

Rick Aldridge - Vice President

Mr. Richard Aldridge has been in the painting industry working and obtaining key client contacts for the past 30 years. Mr. Aldridge also served as a board member for IUPAT District Council 21 for the better part of a decade. He has extensive knowledge of this industry as he has worked as the Director of Operations for many of the above mentioned competitors. He has successfully managed and completed hundreds of high profile projects in the Washington D.C. area. His experience and knowledge plays a key part in the success of CCI.
